ALFONSINE

Alfonsine is a town of the Province of Ravenna that counts 11.700 inhabitants. A part of its territory is included in the Park of the Delta. Besides there are three observatories of the ' Regional Preserve of Alfonsine' instituted in 1990. They're the Stagno della fornace Violani (Tight of the furnace Violani), the Boschetto dei tre Canali (Small wood of the three Canals) and the Fascia boscata del Canale dei Mulini (Woody band of the of the Canal of the Mills).

Peculiar are the presence of the White water lily (introduced artificially but perfectly adapted there), of the European pond terrapin in the Stagno della fornace Violani, the spontaneous Orchids, Poplars, Ash trees and Willows in the Fascia boscata dei Molini and in the Boschetto dei tre Canali.

The native house of the poet Vincenzo Monti in Pozzetto street, 3 will be the Visit Centre of the Preserve of Alfonsine.
