By boat in the Comacchio Valleys
Our beautiful valleys resemble a vast and fascinating lagoon on the Adriatic. They are separated from the sea by a coastal strip, bordered to the north by the Po di Volano and to the south by the Reno River. They are declared Wetlands of International Importance and Special Protection Areas for the conservation of birds.
They are the perfect habitat for many species of water birds. It is here that they gather for wintering, feeding and nesting.
You are lucky enough to see flamingos, avocets, spoonbills, shelducks and black-winged stilt birds. These are the most easily sighted of the over 320 species recorded. Tip from Tahiti: get your camera out and start spotting!

Po di Maistra and Oasi Golena di Cà Pisani
This is the smallest, most natural and suggestive branch of the Delta Park, the one least modified by man's action: for this reason, it is ideal for birdwatchers.
The floodplain of the Cà Pisani Oasis and the vast riparian woods of poplars and willows are the ideal habitat for many birds, such as the Kingfisher, the bee-eater and the whole family of herons that nest in the Cà Venier heronry: the largest nesting site for herons in the Delta Park.

Bocche del Po di Pila, the great outlet
To discover where the Delta originates, all you have to do is climb aboard and travel along the Bocche del Po di Pila, admiring the majesty of the Great River as it joins the sea.
From the deck of the motorboat you can enjoy a bird's eye view of the woods and vast reed beds surrounding the lagoons. In the heart of the park, the Punta Maistra lighthouse presides over the patient weaving of the river and the sea, which have created an extraordinary variety of environments.

Scano Boa between lagoons and reeds
The border between land and water is delicate among the lagoons and reeds of the National Park. Navigating in the Paradei, the narrow canals that connect the Po to its lagoons, you can move between the Bocche del Po di Pila Reserve and the Burcio and Basson lagoons.
The farms that collapsed in the 1950s and the Punta Maistra lighthouse are traces of man's past presence, as are the last reed houses that resist in Scano Boa, the island that is the symbol of the Delta.

Telling Ferrara stories
Walking through the city of Ferrara is the best way to visit it because it is defined as “on a human scale”. It crosses the wide streets wanted by the Estense family and designed by the court architect Biagio Rossetti at the end of the 1400s. They are dotted with churches and palaces rich in art and history. >
Treat yourself to a calm and relaxing stroll through a well-preserved old town that has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, amidst the early days of the Este family and the stories of the Court.
It is a journey into beauty, which comes from the harmonious and varied presence of monuments and views that never make it boring or obvious.
